The Teaching Sequence
Connection - Communication - Action
The program follows a simple teaching sequence that coincides with your child's developmental stage. Because children are all unique and develop at different stages, it makes sense to teach them at their stage of development rather than according to their age.
Connection is the foundational stage because it permeates through everything. In the connection stage, through a gentle and loving process, not only are you connecting with your child, but help your child establish their connection to learning in a fun and enjoyable way. We then integrate communication learning tools and add the action stage as they reach that level. It is a fun simple system that will teach you so much about your child while you also discover more about yourself in the process.
What this Program is Not!
When most of us think of education and learning we think of hard work, exams, stress, and real perseverance. Well with Wee Sync, we ask that you forget all of that. This is a gentle program based on fun, relaxation, joyfulness and more fun. The less children feel like they are learning, the more they will learn.
It is important to point out that when you begin this program with your children, you are focusing on the right brain which takes information in through the subtle senses which means children will listen to your feelings before your words and if you are not feeling good or happy or excited, they will know and respond accordingly.
Bringing a positive attitude to the table when doing a lesson makes the difference between a happy content confident child and an anxious, irritable, frustrated child. Children also relate your emotions to what they are learning so if you are upset and reading a certain book, they will relate your feelings to the book. In order to get the most from their lesson, you should really bring your best to it too. If you are not having a good day, it's better to postpone your time with them until you are feeling good again.
This is also something to keep in mind as your children grow. Whether explaining something, or doing homework with them, or asking about their day, your thoughts and feelings are picked up by your kids even up to 14 or 15 years of age.
If you want to bring out your child's highest potential especially from a young age, you have to remember to mimic the attitudes and behaviors that you want them to portray. It is not always easy and requires you to become very conscious of yourself in your daily life.
