Terms of Use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

The agreement between you and Little Soul Academy when you use our site and programs.

The short version

  • Little Soul Academy is for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over.
  • What you buy is for your own family. Please don't share your sign-in or pass the materials on.
  • You have 30 days from purchase to ask for a full refund.
  • Our content is educational. It isn't medical advice, and you're always the best judge of what's right for your baby.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Fatima Esmail, trading as Little Soul Academy, Rua do Congo, 1990-296 Lisboa, Portugal ("we," "us," "our"). They apply when you use littlesoulacademy.com, join our email list, or buy any of our programs, including Tiny Beginnings.

By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Who can use Little Soul Academy

You need to be at least 18 to create an account or buy from us. Our programs are designed for parents and caregivers to use with their children. Children shouldn't use the site themselves.

Your account

You sign in with a link sent to the email you used at checkout. Please keep access to that email secure, since anyone who can open it can open your account.

One purchase covers one family. It's fine for both parents and the grandparents to use your PlayKit at home together. It's not fine to share your sign-in with other families. If we see an account being used in ways that suggest it's being shared, we may pause it and get in touch.

Buying from us

  • Prices. Prices are shown in euros at checkout, along with any tax that applies. The price you pay is the price shown when you buy.
  • Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms for that payment.
  • Payment plans. If you choose to pay in installments, the remaining payments are charged automatically on the dates shown at checkout. If a payment fails, we'll let you know and may pause your access until it's sorted out. Choosing a plan means agreeing to pay all installments, unless you cancel within the 30-day refund window below.
  • Founding and special pricing. Founding prices and other offers are available for the time or number of places stated at checkout. Once they end, they aren't applied to past or future purchases.

Your access

Our programs are digital. After you buy, you get access through your account on littlesoulacademy.com.

During your first 30 days, your PlayKit opens gradually, so you can settle into the rhythm without feeling rushed. After 30 days, everything included in your purchase is open to you.

You keep access to what you bought for as long as Little Soul Academy offers that program. If we ever stop offering it, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice so you can download your printables and materials. Anything you download is yours to keep for your family's use.

Some parts of a program may be released on a set date (for example, Part Two of Tiny Beginnings). Where that's the case, the release date is shown before you buy.

We keep improving our programs. When we update or add to the program you bought, you get those updates at no extra cost. New programs for later stages of your child's development are sold separately. We won't take away a substantial part of what you paid for.

Our 30-day guarantee

If Little Soul Academy isn't right for your family, write to hello@littlesoulacademy.com within 30 days of your purchase and we'll refund you in full. No forms, no hard feelings.

  • Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.
  • For payment plans, we refund the installments paid and cancel the rest.
  • When a refund is issued, your access to that program ends.
  • The guarantee applies once per family, per program.

A note for customers in the EU and UK. The law usually gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once you start accessing it, and at checkout you agree that your access begins straight away. Our 30-day guarantee goes further than the legal minimum, so you're covered either way.

Health and safety

Our programs share activities, ideas, and our experience from working with families. They are educational, and they are not medical, developmental, or therapeutic advice. They don't replace your pediatrician, midwife, or other health professionals.

  • Always stay with your baby during activities, and follow your baby's cues. If they seem tired, unsettled, or uninterested, it's time to stop.
  • Printed cards and materials aren't toys. Keep them, and any small parts, out of your baby's reach and mouth.
  • If your baby has a medical condition, was born early, or you have any concerns about their development, check with a health professional before starting new activities, including massage or movement.

Every baby grows at their own pace. We share what we've seen in families who use our approach, but we can't promise particular results for any child.

Our content and how you can use it

Everything in our programs, including the guides, Shared Moments, cards, printables, videos, audio, and design, belongs to Little Soul Academy or the people we license it from. Little Soul Academy, Tiny Beginnings, and our logo are our brand names.

When you buy, you get a personal license to use the materials with your own family. That means you can:

  • view, download, and print the materials as often as you like for use at home
  • use them with the children in your care

Please don't:

  • share, sell, upload, or post the materials, or your sign-in, anywhere
  • use them for a class, daycare, practice, or any paid service without our written permission
  • copy or adapt them to make your own products

Professionals who'd like to use our materials with families can write to us about licensing.

Community spaces and live calls

Some programs include a private member circle or live calls. Please be kind, respect other families' privacy, and don't share what others post outside the group. We may remove posts or members that make the space feel unsafe.

Live calls aren't recorded or shared, so you can speak freely. Please don't record them yourself, and keep what other families share on the call private.

If you share a story or feedback with us, we'll only use it publicly (for example, as a testimonial) with your permission.

Partner referrals

Some families come to us through doulas, midwives, and other partners. When you buy through a partner's link, that partner receives a commission from us. It doesn't change the price you pay.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the site available and our materials accurate, but we can't promise the site will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your legal rights as a consumer.

Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to hello@littlesoulacademy.com. Outside the 30-day refund window, closing your account doesn't entitle you to a refund.

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, for example by sharing access or reselling materials. Where it's reasonable, we'll contact you first and give you a chance to put things right.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections the law of your home country gives you.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first. We'd much rather sort it out together.

If we can't resolve it, consumers can turn to an alternative dispute resolution body: the Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC) at cniacc.pt. More information is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal at consumidor.gov.pt. You can also use the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico (electronic complaints book).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top of the page, and if the change is significant, we'll email members before it takes effect. The terms that applied when you made a purchase continue to apply to that purchase.
